Writing a Successful Complete Streets Policy:
Task leader for workshop and policy for the Grand Forks, ND Metropolitan planning Organization as part of their Bicycle and Pedestrian Element update. Included coordination with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), North Dakota (NDDOT) and Minnesota Departments of Transportation (MNDOT), and the Complete Streets Coalition.
Grand Forks, ND, Safe Routes to School: The Discovery Elementary School Safe Route to School study addressed transportation infrastructure, access, safety and mobility for pedestrians, bicyclists and other non-motorized users on the transportation network in proximity to the Discovery Elementary School site in Grand Forks, ND
Bicycle & Pedestrian Element, 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan: Jairo served as the lead for developing the bike / ped element of the MPO's transportation plan.
